During a live broadcast early Monday morning (23rd), Anderson Cooper, CNN journalist and anchor, had to evacuate after receiving a bombing alert in Tel Aviv.

The reporter was with CNN’s senior international correspondent Clarissa Ward and Jerusalem correspondent Jeremy Diamond. The three were discussing the escalation of the conflict between Israel, the USA, and Iran.

“I have to say we are now hearing an alert,” said Ward. Cooper told the audience that Israeli forces had warned that a missile was expected to hit the area within 10 minutes.

“The place where we are now has a verbal alarm telling people to go to air-raid shelters. So we have about 10 minutes to get down to a shelter,” the 58-year-old journalist reported.

“We will try to continue broadcasting from the air-raid shelter. And, if possible, even on the way there,” he continued, while the CNN team moved toward the shelter.

As they headed for the shelter, a continuous 90-second siren sounded. “It’s a luxury to have a 10-minute warning,” remarked Cooper, who hosts Anderson Cooper 360º on CNN.
